Tree Goddess

Faith Bebbington was invited by Heart of London Business Alliance and Veolia, with the support of Westminster Council to create a new 3D artwork for the Art of London - Brighter Futures season.

The new piece titled Tree Goddess is being created with waste aluminium drinks cans collected by Veolia at busy events in the West End. Faith explains “I wanted to make a beautiful and uplifting art work celebrating nature, so I decided to create a sculpture depicting a tree goddess. The tree goddess symbolises mother earth, the tree of life and fertility, renewal and rebirth; which are universal themes which hopefully many people can relate to particularly since the pandemic.”

The Tree Goddess was on display outside The Londoner Hotel, Leicester Square from 11th October to 6th November 2022. Due to popular demand it has returned to Leicester Square for the whole of March 2023.
