Super Rat

Faith has created an exciting new sculpture re-using over 200 plastic milk bottles. "Having created an elephant, a tiger and lion sculptures all wild animals you don’t spot roaming our streets, I wanted to create my urban version of wild animals that do roam in cities, especially those with rivers like Liverpool – so it has to be a rat! We rarely see a rat but you know they are never that far away. I like the connotations about rats - rats as vermin, rats as pets, lab rats, the rat race. I find rats quite fascinating but creepy at the same time! The association between piles of rubbish and rats didn’t escape my notice either when deciding to create the sculpture with plastic milk bottles!" Faith is grateful for the support of Baltic Creative, Baltic Triangle, Castle Fine Arts, Warp Liverpool, and the Botanical Gin Garden. Did you know a group of rats is known as a mischief!
